Optometrist
Dr. Johnson is an Optometrist serving Minot, ND and surrounding communities.
He has owned and operated Johnson Eyecare and Eyewear since 2007. He is a native of Velva/Karlsruhe, attended college at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and moved on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR where he earned his Doctorate in Optometry in 2005. Dr. Johnson served on the North Dakota Optometric Association (NDOA) board from 2014-2021. He is currently serving as the legislative committee chairperson for the NDOA. Dr. Johnson was presented with the great honor of being a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 2021 from the Lions Club International Foundation for his continued humanitarian efforts in support of the local Lions Clubs and their work with the visually impaired. In his spare time, Dr. Johnson likes hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at the lake with his wife and 3 sons.

Dr. Asheim Smith grew up outside of Mohall, North Dakota and is very happy to be back in the Minot area. She earned her Bachelor of Science at North Dakota State University in Fargo. She continued on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she graduated with distinction.
Dr. Asheim Smith completed a residency in Refractive and Ocular Surgery in Bloomington, Minnesota, before returning to her home state. Dr. Asheim Smith is passionate about educating her patients about their eyes and ocular conditions.
She enjoys seeing patients of all ages for primary care, contact lenses, and ocular disease management. Outside of the office, Dr. Asheim Smith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, and traveling.
